Josalyn Santangelo has always lived her life by her own rules, which is the very essence of her musicality. From a young age, she was trained in theatrical singing, choral singing, and brass ensemble. In addition to vocals, Jos plays guitar, trumpet and ukulele, which embellishes her velvety, versatile voice and the multiple genres she is able to cover. She channels the edge of rockers like Gwen Stefani and the introspective lyrical abilities of artists such as Fiona Apple and Lana Del Rey. Josalyn also has a softer side that showcases her admiration for R&B and jazz styles. Her refusal to conform to a single genre is perhaps what is most impressive about her as a rising artist. She is a rebellious musical chameleon, always confident and always full of surprises on stage. Josalyn went by the stage name "Jos Vincent" for half a decade of her musical journey, but realized it didn't suit her anymore; nor did the six singles she released years prior. She now goes by her first name and plans to rerelease some of her originals in 2024.
Josalyn moved out to LA in 2021 and has been working vigilantly on new projects since. She founded Snazzie Series in 2023, an LA-based benefit concert series that strives to make a positive impact and foster a creative community in Los Angeles, all while supporting local musicians. Her last performance was in the Snazzie Series' next event on Friday, June 14th at Hotel Cafe. Content from that show coming soon!
